Store Manager – Linen & Flax Home Store

Come join our team!  We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to for our home store located on Canton Street in Roswell, GA.  This is a great opportunity to work with a terrific team of associates for an amazing lifestyle brand.

The store manager at Linen & Flax Co. requires someone with retail leadership experience, sales accountability, operational excellence, and strong communication skills.  Additionally, he/she will have a track record of delivering results through developing a team that exhibits extraordinary customer service and accountability.  The ideal store manager will be someone that is self-motivated, energetic, and can lead, inspire, and model the passion and commitment to deliver an experience that represents Chaz Easterly, our owner/founder, and the full Linen & Flax Co. lifestyle brand.  This role has a variety of responsibilities and required skills including (but not limited to):

 Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 4-6 retail associates, including a visual merchandiser, to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales while creating an environment that inspires engagement and teamwork.
  • Communicate and partner with visual merchandiser to ensure store is set and merchandised to standard
  • Model and champion the mission, vision, and values of Linen & Flax Co.
  • Responsible for all day-to-day activity and business results of the store
  • Train, coach and develop associates
  • Monitor associate/store sales productivity and regularly communicate performance strengths and opportunities
  • Maximize sales productivity through effective scheduling and payroll allocation
  • Ability to run reports, analyze sales results, and set daily/monthly sales goals for the store; react/adjust as needed
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented
  • Listen to concerns, resolve problems, and provide recommendations according to the needs of each individual/ customer/situation. Be able to pivot and think on your feet to make quick and efficient decisions.
  • Promptly and professionally manage and respond to all customer inquiries and communication that are received via in-store visits, email, or phone. Manage and ensure follow up on customer orders and provide regular updates (changing dates, coordinating third party delivery, etc.)
  • Plan, delegate and follow up on expected tasks, assignments, and activities to ensure expectations and objectives are met
  • Act as a liaison between the store team and Linen & Flax Operations and collaborates with all teams at headquarters
  • Perform and supervise Linen & Flax opening and closing procedures and securing the store
  • Assist with physical inventory (twice a year)

 Requirements:

  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including active listening
  • Impeccable customer service
  • Ability to make hard and fast decisions that affect the business whether it is dealing with associates, customers, management, or vendors
  • Ability to work with urgency while balancing multiple tasks
  • Patience, professionalism, and a positive attitude
  • Proficient use of POS and computer (Shopify experience a plus)
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Adaptability to flex to changing priorities and expectations
  • The ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule that includes days, evenings (occasionally), Saturdays, and holidays

 Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day and move throughout the store
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds

 Education/Experience:

  • Previous experience in a leadership/retail store management role with proven success
  • High school degree / BS degree preferred but not required

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • 4-6 retail associates and the store visual merchandiser

Interior Designer

We have an exciting opening on our Linen & Flax design team and are looking for an outstanding candidate to join Chaz and our collaborative team!  

The Interior Designer position at Linen & Flax Co. requires someone with proven design experience (with a portfolio) and comes with knowledge and proficiency in Revit, CAD and working with the Adobe Creative Cloud software.  The designer will create functionally beautiful spaces for clients while using their experience, industry knowledge, innovative design concepts and creativity, all while keeping within the Linen & Flax aesthetic.  Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a collaborative spirit, outstanding communication skills and a high level of professionalism in all interactions.  The position reports directly to Chaz Easterly, Creative Director/Owner, and will work closely with her on tasks and deliverables to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion from consultation, presentation, sourcing, to installation.  This role has a variety of responsibilities and required skills including (but not limited to):

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with team to create and present presentation boards to include CAD drawings, mood boards, FF&E, surface materials, color palettes, and lighting
  • Generate plan specifications based on client needs and contract requirements
  • Create elevations to be used in client presentations and on job sites
  • Can produce detailed millwork drawings to be used by contractors on job sites
  • Organize project samples, project binders, and finish binders in an orderly manner
  • Able to produce furniture layouts and floor plans skillfully
  • Source and work with outside vendors to procure and coordinate all furniture, fixtures, & accessories
  • Conduct site visits and communicate with contractors and subcontractors
  • Act as project manager with each project taking it from concept to completion
  • Client engagement with frequent communication throughout project from consultation to install
  • Demonstrate a good eye for scale and balance, color and material relationships in both architecture and FF&E.
  • Retain general product and vendor knowledge
  • Manage multiple projects at once

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Interior Design experience, preferably from a design specific firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, or similar
  • Proficiency in Revit, CAD, and Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop/Illustrator)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including active listening
  • Passionate about interacting with new people regularly
  • Owning initiative and jumping into new tasks daily
  • Familiarity using POS systems and creating invoices
  • Extremely personable, positive, and approachable
  • Enthusiastic attitude in person and over the telephone.
  • Detail orientated and accurate 

Additional attributes required:

    • Self-Starter that looks for solutions to project issues and asks questions for clarity
    • Keeps team informed of progress of presentations and works with creative director on selections process
    • Communicates with Creative Director to secure all required selections for presentations are complete in a timely manner
    • Actively participates in weekly team meeting
    • Takes initiative to make positive change or to help the design process run smoothly
  • Technical:
    • Proficient in Revit, CAD, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Illustrator), and Microsoft Office
    • Able to Produce elevations & Furniture layouts to effectively communicate scale to clients and contractors
    • Able to scan and crop images in Photoshop, manipulate, if required, to eliminate adjacent images, remove writing, etc.

    • Comfortable with pace and pressure of office environment and balancing priorities

    • Confidence when speaking to clients and vendors

Physical Requirements:
